The hosts of Inside the NBA are always playfully roasting each other on live television. Nonetheless, NBA legends Shaquille O?Neal, Charles Barkley, and Kenny ?The Jet? Smith have a great understanding of one another and share a great bond, and Ernie Johnson fits in perfectly between them. But how have these ultra-competitive guys managed to become so compatible? The answer to that was revealed on the latest episode of Undisputed with Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe.

There have been instances when the banter takes a turn for the worse and spirals into heated arguments. However, they are still together even about a decade later, and two-time NBA champion Kenny Smith has a theory of why that has been possible.

Kenny Smith was recently roasted while on the show for his extra-curricular activities while on vacation. However, The Jet did not hold a grudge over it and went on to share the secret to their bond with the Inside Guys.

The former Houston Rockets star?made an appearance on Undisputed. While on the show, Bayless asked Smith to define his role while sitting between two former NBA big men.

To that, Kenny?said, ?I think that the one thing that we do really well is that we do listen to each other.? Smith brought up how other analysts have notes and they stick to it. On the other hand, the hosts of Inside the NBA don?t. ?If Charles says something, or I say something or Shaq says something that we don?t agree, we rip up the notes. We go on at that.“

“I think that?s the difference that I noticed that we do differently than a lot of places. It?s that we really listen to each other. When you have four-five guys on set and you just really wanna get your point across sometimes,? revealed Smith. This came just hours after the crew roasted Kenny for his beach pictures.

Smith was spotted on the beach of Miami with a model. But he tried to sweep it under the carpet by bringing up something else. Unfortunately, it did not work for Kenny. The crew had a great laugh at The Jet‘s expense, while Kenny could be seen turning red as he was blushing.

After Johnson asked his co-host whether they had any photos to share of themselves, Barkley responded, “I got one of Kenny.” As the crew burst out in laughter, Smith tried to shift the focus unsuccessfully. Despite the constant banter, there is no bad blood or hard feelings among them as they continue to host one of the best NBA shows.
