There is trouble all around within the Philadelphia 76ers camp. Just a few hours ago, they sacked title-winning coach Doc Rivers. Under his management, the Sixers failed to make it past the second round of the playoffs for consecutive seasons. Amidst all this, there is also a concern regarding James Harden. The 2018 NBA MVP runs out of his contract this offseason and is free to join any team. This has the front office working overtime.

Interestingly, there have been reports which suggested that Harden might be behind Rivers’ sacking. Taking to Instagram, the 10-time NBA All-Star posted a cryptic message which might be directed to his haters.

The Philadelphia 76ers had a disappointing season. Despite having the 2023 MVP Joel Embiid and 2018 MVP James Harden on their team, they failed to make inroads in the playoffs.

On top of their disappointing issues, there is a lot of internal turmoil as well. It was revealed that Harden had a strained relationship with Rivers. Moreover, the reports also claimed that Harden might have played a part in Rivers’ sacking.

Following all such rumors, Harden seemingly clapped back at his haters. Taking to Instagram, The Beard posted a cryptic message on his Instagram story.

“Experts really don’t be experts,” wrote Harden. Moreover, this comes when Harden’s future with the franchise is in the air. Considering his age and experience, there will be a number of teams that will be keeping tabs on his free agency. However, it seems he has already made up his mind.

Where will Harden play next season?

Although there are still no major updates about Harden’s potential destination, the Houston Rockets seems to be one of his potential options. After all, Harden played the best basketball of his career with the Rockets.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the 76ers star is “seriously” considering a move back to Houston. After a few contract issues, Harden’s time with the Rockets ended in 2020. In 9 seasons with the Rockets, the three times Scoring Champ averages 29.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 7.7 assists.
