The Brooklyn Nets might have some hope amid their disastrous run. There might be a chance of Kyrie Irving returning to the team on a full-time basis. New COVID Mandates suggested by the governor might allow Kyrie to play in New York.

At the start of the season, Kyrie had told that he will not be taking the vaccine. With New York rules prohibiting unvaccinated citizens from entering indoor arenas, it meant Kyrie could only be able to play away games. The Nets made a decision that prohibited Kyrie from joining the team itself unless he gets a vaccine. With Kyrie being from on his stance, it meant that he would miss the entire season.
Fortunately, the Nets decided to let Kyrie play road games, allowing his to make his return last month. He has been sensational, and he showed the Nets what they’ve been missing all season. However, Kevin Durant got injured and tore his MCL, making him unavailable till march. Without KD in the lineup, the Nets have spiraled down and are currently on a 9 game losing streak. They have gone from the 1st seed to the 8th seed in the East, in the span of a month. This news could not have come sooner for the Nets fans as they have a lot of home games coming up and having Kyrie Irving back in the lineup will surely boost their morale.

What could this mean for the Brooklyn Nets?
The Brooklyn Nets will hope that this mandate is implemented soon so they can have Kyrie back full-time. There have been a lot of rumors going on that Harden is leaving the Nets, and this might be able to put those to rest. The Nets have been struggling since KD went down. However, they are currently in the play-in spots. But if they do not arrest this slide, they might be even out of playoffs.

Luckily for the Nets, KD is expected to return after the All-Star break. He has been sensational this season, and he was leading the league in scoring. The Nets were one of the best teams when KD was healthy and that was without Kyrie in the lineup. If Kyrie is allowed to play, watch out for the Nets to make some noise come playoff time.
