Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant has been going through a rough time off-court. Since the Instagram live where he showed a gun, things have taken a turn for the worse. Morant has been suspended for 2 games by his team’s management after the incident and it looks like the suspension could extend further. With nothing concrete suggesting his return to the Grizzlies, Morant remains in the news for all the wrong reasons.
Amidst the whole fiasco, many notable NBA figures have given their opinions on the matter. The room is split between people referring to his actions as inexcusable and those who are in support of Morant. Recently, new Chicago Bulls recruit Patrick Beverley has come out in support of the young star with a rather unconventional take. Beverley’s take on the issue did not sit well with many fans as they started trolling him on Twitter.
