Michael Jordan established himself as a household name due to his early success in the NBA. Despite lacking championship wins in his bag in the initial years, fans were eager to find out about every aspect of MJ’s life. Soon after his entry into the league, Jordan became a massive marketing asset for the then-upcoming brands and telecasters to increase their reach. Hence, MJ appeared on many shows and contests that involved popular Hollywood celebrities. During one such show in 1987, Hollywood star Charlie Sheen roasted Jordan with just two words, as seen in this recently resurfaced video.

In the initial moments of the episode, Jordan could be seen reading a newspaper, as he addressed the Sheens and dunked the ball in an open hoop before asking a question. Michael Jordan said, “Hey Sheens! You’all ready for Air Jordan?”
In response, Charlie Sheen hilariously roasted MJ, leaving Jordan and the crowd amused. The younger sheen said, “Air who?”
During the pregame interview with Van Patten, Jordan had reckoned that his game against the Sheens could turn out to be competitive, and the Sheens did not disappoint him. The resilience and skills of the Sheens kept Michael Jordan in check. However, MJ appeared to be playing below his potential to make things interesting.
Who won the Sheens vs Jordan competition?
The Sheens faced off against Michael Jordan in three different competitions, namely, Foul Shooting, Horse, and Two on One. In the first round, Foul Shooting,? Jordan attempted 20 shots and made 11 of them. However, the twist in the competition was that MJ was supposed to shoot with his eyes closed. Meanwhile, the Sheens were allowed to shoot with their eyes open. At the end of the first competition, Charlie and Martin Sheen managed to defeat His Airness by scoring 12 points as a team.
