Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese have been doing the rounds on the internet lately. Clark initially did a viral celebration when Iowa State got the better of Louisville in the Elite Eight. Reese copied the celebration in the NCAA finals when LSU beat Iowa State. Following her celebration, Reese received a lot of flak which urged numerous NBA personalities to speak up. Recently, former NBA star chimed into the controversy.
On a recent episode of his podcast, the NBS veteran dragged in four-time NBA champion Stephen Curry into the debate in order to explain how Reese’s antics weren’t disrespectful.

Over the past few days, there has been a lot of talk surrounding respectful and disrespectful antics. Three-time NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas recently talked about Angel Reese’s NCAA final antics.?
Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry is one of the finest trash-talkers in the league. The two-time MVP has some signature moves which are loved by fans all around the world. Gilbert Arenas brought up Curry’s antics and used them to explain why Reese wasn’t wrong.
He said, “When Steph does the turnaround and he be holding his arms up. All those are antics, right? He’s not verbally saying nothing to you, his antics are embarrassing you.” He?added, “The game before against South Carolina, when the girls dribbling, she did that, right, like who’s you right? That’s part of the antics?”
Similar to Arenas, Shaquille O’Neal has been a staunch supporter of Angel Reese. The Los Angeles Lakers legend has even called Reese his ‘niece’ while defending her actions. After him, Caitlin Clark herself has spoken up about Angel Reese

She said, “I don?t think Angel should be criticized at all, you know, no matter which way it goes, you know, she should never be criticized for what she did.”
Reese mimicked Clark in the final seconds of the NCAA finals. LSU got the better of Iowa State by beating them 102-85 and won their first women’s national championship.
