One of the most hyped teams before the year commenced, LeBron James and co. are on the cusp of the playoff spots at the moment. However, if they manage to secure the spot, it is possible that they go deep in the tournament, considering the experience that the likes of LeBron and Russell Westbrook bring to the table. At least this is what former player Jamal Crawford opines.

A 4-time NBA champion, LeBron James is no stranger to the big stage. Time and again, he has delivered in the knockout stages, whether it is for the Lakers, Cavaliers, or Heat. As a result, he is all set to equal Kobe Bryant’s record of 18 All-Star appearances this year. But the big question is, can he guide Frank Vogel’s brigade to another titanic victory?

Former NBA star Jamal Crawford feels ‘chess player’ LeBron James can influence playoffs

Any team in the world is stronger with LeBron James than without him. Unfortunately, the king hasn’t received enough support in the ongoing season. Multiple injuries and some rusty compatriots have forced him to shoulder a vast majority of the pressure thus far. Discussing LA’s current form with Celtics legend Kevin Garnett, the recently retired Jamal Crawford believes that James can single-handedly take the yellow army deep into the knockouts.

Crawford drew attention to LeBron’s immense ability with the mind games. He said, “First off LeBron can control a series. Right? He’s, you got your coach, and he’s a different chess player. He’s the ultimate chess player. So he can control your series. He’ll see you enough, he’ll know exactly where the help’s coming from, he’s gonna gravitationally pull everybody else. You just gotta make shots.”
