NBA superstar Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets had a poor season last year. Expectations were high with superstars Kyrie Irving, Ben Simmons, and Kevin Durant in the lineup. However, the fans and the team were left disappointed as the Nets lost the first round of playoffs to the Boston Celtics. To add insult to the loss, it was a comfortable sweep for the NBA finalists, the Celtics. Ben Simmons ended up not playing a single minute for the Nets. After the season ended, Irving and Durant promised to come back to the Nets next season.

However, there have been reports suggesting various trade possibilities for the star trio. A reunion of Kyrie Irving and LeBron James with the Los Angeles Lakers was a hot topic. And it looks like the Lakers are still interested in the services of Irving. On the other hand, a reunion of Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry for the Golden State Warriors is also a possibility.
However, a recent report paints the picture of the Nets’ demand for the former MVP. And it is driving fans wild on Twitter. Here are some of the reactions:
He’s not worth that at all lmao

Jonathan Kuminga
Jordan Poole
Andrew Wiggins
Moses Moody
James Wiseman. I would not give up these guys for KD in his prime. No NBA player whoever lived (and in his prime) is worth these four guys. E-nuff said!— Cynthia Cofield (@nissanRogue2015) July 23, 2022
So our entire future starting 5 😂

They're pretending like KD is 26 yo instead of 33. I get that he would probably be the second-best player ever to get traded. But that price is too much at this age.

It looks like the Warriors fans are not willing to welcome KD due to the demands of the Nets.
Kevin Durant for the Golden State Warriors
During his time with the Warriors, KD helped the Warriors win back-to-back NBA titles in 2017 and 2018. And he did that with his short stay of just three years. While Curry took a back seat, Durant led the Warriors as he won the Finals MVP award on both occasions. In the 2016-17 playoffs, Durant averaged 28.5 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game. In the 2017-18 playoffs, he averaged 29 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game.

But KD’s time with the Warriors came to an end after a reported bust-up between him and Draymond Green. However, Durant and Green have made peace and are still close friends. Even though KD is not in his prime, he still possesses the ability to make any team better. And he would be deadly with the Warriors who are the reigning champions.
However, it would be a huge risk for the Warriors if they accept the reported demands. As they will be gambling their future for immediate success.
