Michael Jordan is celebrating a special anniversary this week. This week last year, MJ and his team released ‘The Last Dance’ docuseries on ESPN and Netflix. The docuseries came during the global pandemic when live sports were halted. ‘The Last Dance’ provided people with entertainment when they needed it most, and it helped remind people why Jordan is one of, if not the greatest player of all time. However, it wasn’t just fans who enjoyed the series.

Jamal Crawford shows love for MJ and The Last Dance

Former NBA player Jamal Crawford took to Twitter to heap praise on Michael Jordan and ‘The Last Dance’ docuseries. Crawford noted that he had watched the series several times over, but he still got the same feeling every time he watched it. He then seemingly took a shot at the social media era, noting that Jordan should never be compared to anyone – he is in his own league and always will be.

Crawford’s comments come as no surprise. Crawford has spoken on numerous occasions about how close he and MJ are. Jordan linked up with Crawford when he joined the Chicago Bulls. From there, the two built a strong friendship, often playing pick-up ball with each other. So it is only natural that Crawford considers his close friend the greatest to ever play the game, and there are several people around the world who agree with him.

Michael Jordan is still competitive

Jordan’s docuseries allowed a whole new generation to witness his career in a more palatable manner. The world has moved towards more crisp, concise retellings of real-life events, and a docuseries was the perfect way to show the world Jordan’s greatness. There was no topic off-limits, but Jordan interestingly never addressed the long-standing debate among fans over who is better between himself and LeBron James.

‘The Last Dance’ added more fuel to the fire of the Jordan-LeBron debate. Fans have vociferously argued about who is better between Jordan and LeBron. While neither player has come out and addressed this debate, fans understand how it fuels them. Even though Jordan is no longer playing, he is still very competitive and will want to protect his ‘GOAT’ claim.
