The GOAT debate has been one that has been ongoing for decades now. Every now and then when a generational player comes into the league, there is a new name added to the discussion. One argument that triumphs over the others is the LeBron James-Michael Jordan debate that has been going on for ages. So, when former teammate Scottie Pippen tried to put the argument to rest with a controversial take, fans were certainly not on board with it.

Even after years of retiring from the league, Michael Jordan is loved and cherished by the entire NBA community. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the six-time NBA champion, Scottie Pippen now.

Scottie Pippen disrespects Michael Jordan

Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen were arguably one of the best duos to play the game. The two accomplished wonders during their time together with the Chicago Bulls. However, Pippen eventually started to grow bitter about his long-time teammate.

Now, with his latest take on who?s the best player, Pippen has sided with LeBron James. However, the way he chose James over Michael Jordan was not without bashing his former teammate.

Pippen said, ?LeBron will be the greatest statistical guy to ever play the game of basketball. And there?s no comparison to him, none. So, does that make him the greatest player to ever play the game? I?ll leave that out for debatings. Because I don?t believe that there?s a great player, because our game is a team game. And one player can?t do it.?

?I?ve seen Michael Jordan play before I came to play with the Bulls. You guys seen him play. He was a horrible player, he was horrible to play with. He was all one on one, he?s shooting bad shots and all of a sudden, we become a team and we start winning. Everybody forgot who he was,? added Pippen.

Fans slam Pippen instead

Over the years Scottie Pippen has displayed the fact that he did not get enough respect and recognition as Michael Jordan. He even claimed to be just as great of a player as Mike as well. But for him to disrespect his former teammate led the NBA community to give him a reality check instead.
