After a blowout loss in Game 3, the Golden State Warriors have to be in a sense of desperation. The reigning champions need to share the series at LA to avoid taking a 1-3 slump. They came out firing, but the Los Angeles Lakers didn’t shy either. An intense back and forth marked the first quarter. However, in the highly competitive atmosphere, Draymond Green gave the fans at Crypto.com arena something to laugh about as he tried to defeat his good buddy LeBron James.
Generally operating the Warriors’ offense from the key, Green seemed to have forgotten a play or simply had a lapse moment. He hit a picture-perfect pass, but it wasn’t to any of his teammates.

On any day, Draymond Green is regarded as one of the best playmakers in the game. The three-point-reliant Warriors offense runs through his hands. On most days, his two-way plays on either end give the Warriors the edge. Nevertheless, there are times when even the best slip up and the Game 4 of the Lakers-Warriors matchup was one of those times.
With the Warriors in control, Draymond Green wanted to make another play, an open look for his teammate. Well, his pass did hit the open space, but he found Phil Handy, the Lakers’ assistant coach instead.
Green has played an integral part in the Warriors’ postseason so far. His numbers like usual don’t stand out. The former DPOY is averaging 6.7 assists, 6.3 points, and 5.7 rebounds in the conference semi-finals. However, a true NBA fan knows, the 4x NBA champion goes far beyond the numbers.
It’s the post defense, the smothering defense, and making the setup passes that make him such a valuable asset to the Bay. Tonight, they needed him to be at his technical best to get the better of LeBron James and the Lakers but this moment surely wasn’t the greatest example.
NBA fans call out Green’s Laker assist
The fans weren’t so kind to Draymond Green for recklessly turning the ball over. It was an embarrassing moment for the veteran but the followers feel he had a reason behind it – his close bond with LeBron James. The fans accused the Warriors forward of helping out his close friend in what was a pivotal game for Stephen Curry’s Warriors.
They said, “Draymond wanna be a laker so bad”
“HES A LAKER”
“Wanting to pass to Lebron?”
