The Atlanta Hawks took on the New York Knicks recently at Madison Square Garden. The Hawks have a 13-11 record so far in a season that is not short on drama. The Athletic reported that the team has been struggling with management issues. The players have also struggled with several injuries, and there was no respite for Trae Young and the Hawks on Wednesday night either.

In the first quarter, Hawks star Dejounte Murry went for a shot. As he shot the ball, New York Knicks‘ RJ Barret breached the landing area of the shooter. This meant that Murray fell hard to the ground. It was not a pretty sight to see as Dejounte Murray struggled to get up. Trae Young and his other teammates had to help him get off the floor.
Murray tried to shake it off by jumping on the spot. But he wasn’t able to walk right, and he later exited the game after what seems to be an apparent left ankle injury.
He had to exit with 2 points after playing for 4 minutes. Murray was ruled out for the remainder of the game. Furthermore,?RJ Barret got a flagrant foul 1 for his contact with Murray.
