The top two teams of the Western Conference battled it out on the hard floor, leading to an epic battle. The second-seeded Memphis Grizzlies hosted the number-one team in the West, the Denver Nuggets in their last matchup. The Grizzlies ended up defeating the Nuggets but the game sure got pretty physical. And Nuggets leader Nikola Jokic also has the scars to show for it as well. Which was followed by the same level of physicality in the next game.

During the first quarter of the game, Nikola Jokic and Ja Morant?s teammate, Jaren Jackson Jr. had an intense showdown in the low post. The play got pretty physical with the Memphis forward hitting the deck and Jokic getting the two points.

As ?The Joker? was heading down the court, he noticed the multiple scars on both of his arms. Nikola Jokic?s arms could be seen profusely bleeding due to the physical play with Jaren Jackson Jr. in the last possession. The game was stopped right away as the Nuggets training staff intervened and patched the seven-footer up.

During the Grizzlies game, one fan on Twitter posted, ?Jokic?s arms look like he wrestled a bear for fun.?

ESPN posted a post-game interview with Jokic on Instagram after the game against the Los Angeles Clippers. He credited his brothers for his toughness saying, ?I mean to be honest, I?ve been wrestling my brothers since I?m four. So I can wrestle a long time.?

Fans were impressed with Jokic?s stoic manner and resilience. And still continuing to make highlights for the team. One fan commented, ?Don?t complain just keeps playing. Respect.?

Many fans drew comparisons between Jokic and his rival in the MVP race, Joel Embiid. Pointing out how Embiid gets more foul calls than Jokic.

Teams resorting to dirty tactics to stop Nikola Jokic

Nikola Jokic suffered those brutal scars on his arm against the Grizzlies. However, he had to suffer the same level of physicality in the game against the Clippers as well. Despite their best efforts, Jokic not only managed to get the win but also post a triple-double for the game.

The four-time All-Star notched up 40 points, 17 rebounds, and 10 assists for the game. Yet it seems like teams are resorting to dirty, physical tactics in the hopes of slowing him down. Although that doesn’t look like hampering his production on the floor.
