Golden State Warriors veteran Draymond Green has been in the news recently for all the wrong reasons. The four-time NBA champion had a physical altercation with youngster Jordan Poole which led to Green punching Poole.
This incident has sent shockwaves across the basketball world with many calling for strict action against Green for his misconduct. Unlike the majority, NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal has been supportive of Green.

Talking on the latest episode of The Big Podcast with Shaq, the former Los Angeles Lakers icon stressed how incidents like these happen all the time. Moreover, he also admired Green for facing the media after his outburst.
Shaq said, “But guess what? He was a man about it because he talked to the traditional media.”
“But guess what? Nobody really cares, they just act like they care. He punched in the face, it happens everyday.“
Unlike Shaq, many others do not feel the same about Draymond Green. Fans across the world have been demanding stricter action from the Warriors regarding Green.
What did Draymond Green say about this incident?
The NBA world was shocked as reports erupted about a fight within the Golden State Warriors team. A few hours later, sources across the world revealed that the fight was between Draymond Green and Jordan Poole. After this embarrassing incident, Green faced the media and he seemed apologetic about his actions.
“There’s a huge embarrassment that comes from (the video) not only for myself but the embarrassment that Jordan has to deal with and also Jordan’s family”, said Green.
Reports across the world suggested that Green’s outburst was due to Jordan Poole’s attitude during the whole training camp. However, Stephen Curry, Steve Kerr, and other members of the Warriors denied all such claims.

While many expected the Warriors to suspend Green or take some serious action against him, he was only fined. With the 2022-23 NBA season right around the corner, the team will be looking to solve all such issues within the team and focus on defending their title.
