The trade of Lonnie Walker IV was probably the best off-season trade for the Los Angeles Lakers this year. Walker is averaging around 16.6 points per game and also has a shooting percentage of 47.1 from the field, with both of them being his career-best stats so far. Recently in an interview, Walker revealed how Russell Westbrook helped him to be more aggressive and improve his game on the court.

Darvin Ham, the head coach of the Lakers, actually surprised everyone by keeping Walker in the starting lineup. And the performances of Walker definitely fulfilled the trust that the coach had put in him at the start of the season. His recent performances have led to fans reacting to the current situation with the Lakers.

Lonnie Walker IV recently made an appearance on the ‘Silver Screen and Roll’ podcast. In the podcast, he talked about several things, including Russell Westbrook. He appreciated Russell Westbrook for many reasons. And also added how Westbrook helped Walker to take his game to the next level.

The Los Angeles Lakers player said, “I had a midrange pull up and I passed it and Russ cursed me out… ‘Yo, you don’t do that. I pass the ball you shoot okay? Stop passing the ball'”. He further added how that speech from Westbrook made him want to go more aggressive on the pitch. The speech from the former MVP surely seemed to make Walker more confident.
