The Golden State Warriors seemed to be in a good place. After winning their fourth NBA championship in the last decade, and some of their key rotation players coming back from injuries, the Warriors looked like they were in full swing. However, drama amongst the team has gotten the best of them. In particular, the Draymond Green-Jordan Poole altercation. As the incident has been highlighted enough, the two players got into a fight during the Warriors’ practice.

And as both players started having a heated argument, the two went chest to chest, bumping into each other. Poole shoved Green to create some space between the two and Green escalated the situation by throwing a punch and hitting Poole’s face.
Golden State Warriors almost got off to the right start
According to sources, Poole?s attitude and behavior towards the team had changed over the course of time. The guard was looking for a lucrative contract extension with the team. After the incident, Green apologized to the team right away and went on to social media to announce that he will be stepping away from the team for a few days.
That may be one of the reasons why Green wasn?t in the rotation for the preseason game against the Los Angeles Lakers. The team had already been dealing with injuries to Klay Thompson and James Wiseman. But now that they are ready to play, seems as if Green won?t see the floor for some time.
As the altercation took place, analysts around the league made speculations about who was right and who was wrong, what the Warriors’ front office should do, moving forward and such. One such analyst was Stephen A. Smith.?
Smith, on his show ?First Take?, gave his views on the Golden State Warriors. He mentioned how Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole are a priority right now. Smith went on to say, ?I can tell you right now that Draymond Green is expecting this to be his last year in Golden State. Now he wanna be a Laker.?
Fans torn between two sides on Draymond and his possible departure
We don?t know whether that is true or not if Draymond is planning to leave Golden State for the Los Angeles Lakers, but fans sure had their thoughts on all this.
If the core is broken up, you might as well call it last dance for the GSW. Love Poole but you're not winning Chips with him running the offense with GS.
