NBA superstar LeBron James leads the Los Angeles Lakers both on the court and off it. The Lakers registered their third win of the season by defeating the Brooklyn Nets. And this win came in the absence of King James because of a groin injury. On the other hand, Kevin Durant and the Nets were not able to take advantage of James’ unavailability as Anthony Davis and Lonnie Walker IV came up big.

After the game, Patrick Beverley gave an interview, where he talked about the game. He gave the credit to their practice session and LeBron James as the reason behind the victory.

Patrick Beverley gave major props to LeBron James for his leadership. He said, “I think we had a phenomenal practice, probably one of my best practices, yesterday. I give a lot of credit to LeBron, he start to get on guys the right way, and guys in the locker room responded. So credit to his leadership.”

It was evident their practice paid off. The fans will be hopeful that the Los Angeles Lakers can keep the momentum going and win more games. Even though James helped the team with his leadership off the court, fans would be praying he would be back soon to help the team on the court.

The Lakers hosted the Nets at the Crypto.com Arena. The game finished with the Lakers prevailing by 13 points with the final score being 116-103. The Purple and Gold overcome some of their early season shortcomings in this game. Their shot-making was better, the youngsters played excellently, played good defense, and the veteran players did what they do best.
Anthony Davis had a massive game as he scored 37 points with 18 rebounds, and 2 assists in 34 minutes on the court. Standing by his side, Lonnie Walker IV scored 25 points and 1 rebound. Russell Westbrook had 14 points and 12 assists off the bench.
On the other hand, Kevin Durant registered 31 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists in 38 minutes.
