The San Antonio Spurs selected 19-year-old Jeremy Sochan at the 2022 NBA Draft. The Polish-American forward was the 9th overall pick. Sochan has barely begun his NBA career. However, a recent meme dragged the Spurs star under the spotlight to face fans’ wrath.

Rookie gets compared to Dennis Rodman

NBA on ESPN recently posted a picture of Dennis Rodman and Jeremy Sochan on Twitter. Well, it was more of a meme and less of a picture. It was the widely known meme of actor Toby Maguire as Peter Parker. A blurred image of Rodman was right next to the one where Maguire has his glasses off. In the below, a clearer image of Sochan with the same green-colored hair was beside a picture of Maguire with his glasses on. The caption read, “Looks a bit familiar.”

While this might just have been a harmless joke, the Twitterati are ripping Sochan apart. While some called him ‘Fraudman’, others stated that it was disrespectful to the former Spurs superstar. Here are some of the tweets.

Dennis Rodman’s style in the 90s

Dennis Rodman was not just known for his rebounding skills. The five-time NBA champion’s off-court ventures were constantly sought out by reporters. The party animal loved experimenting with clothes and makeup, which was unusual back in the 90s. Add to this his habit of getting into troubles, you got yourself a controversial figure.

One such habit of his was to change his hair style to the most bizarre patterns and colors. Rodman’s pictures from the 90s depicted him in several hair colors in every other game. If it was blonde today, tomorrow it could very well change to a leopard pattern. Additionally, Rodman would often cross-dress for events. The two-time NBA All-Star would often wear bedazzled crop tops, glittery nail polishes, and lipstick as well.
