NBA analyst Tim Legler reiterated similar sentiments in a recent report. “He might start the year in Brooklyn,” said the 55-year-old NBA veteran. “And nobody expected that the day he made the announcement.”
Meanwhile, the Nets have made it clear that they would settle for nothing less than the core of a team for Kevin Durant. However, such a deal puts KD at a severe disadvantage. Because the 2014 MVP is clearly looking to contend for championships in the next few seasons.

On the other hand, the 76ers would have to sacrifice their core group of players. The Nets front office wouldn’t settle for anything less than a package consisting of Tobias Harris, Tyrese Maxey, Matisse Thybulle, and multiple first-round picks.
However, the inclusion of Durant on the 76ers roster beside Joel Embiid and James Harden would instantly make Philadelphia the favorites to win it all next year.
