The Los Angeles Lakers faced the Chicago Bulls for two consecutive games this week. What made things way more interesting was the fact that not only was it LeBron James‘ comeback game, but also the first time they faced Patrick Beverley since his trade. The former Lakers guard had entered the court with the determination of denting their Playoff hopes and had quite some fun while claiming victory over them. However, the smugness of defeating his former team soon disappeared when Pat Bev he got a taste of his own medicine in the following game.

After winning three consecutive games, the Lakers fell short of the Chicago Bulls despite having LeBron James back on the court on Sunday. The 4x NBA champion managed to score 19 points and eight rebounds from the bench in the 108-118 loss. Nonetheless, things were a little different this time around.

Lakers guard avenges LeBron James

It was evident that Patrick Beverley thoroughly enjoyed defeating the LA Lakers, as he kept making certain gestures to further ridicule the team. Other than the win, the most talked about incident turned out to be Pat Bev’s ‘too small’ gesture. While LeBron James refrained from reacting to the gesture, it turns out Beverley’s antics didn’t sit well with his teammate Austin Reaves.

The 24-year-old Lakers star got the chance to exact his revenge in the following game that ended in the purple and gold team’s favor. With just a little over two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter of the game, Reaves trolled Beverley by making the ‘too small’ gesture after scoring over the Bulls star.

Following the game, the reporters caught up to James to ask about his thoughts on Reaves’ antics. The 4x MVP said, That AR always got my back. Always. Even though he loved Kobe back in the day more than me. I forgive him.”

The Lakers won the game 121-110 with Anthony Davis scoring a game-high 38 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists. LeBron added 25 points and seven rebounds. Whereas, Reaves dropped 19 points, two rebounds, and five assists.

Pat Bev mocks King James’ Lakers

Since his trade to the Chicago Bulls, Patrick Beverley had been waiting to face his former team, and he finally got his wish on Sunday night. The 34-year-old point guard pulled quite a few stunts while on the court that had the fans raising their eyebrows several times.

Unfortunately, Beverley only got to relish in the victory for three days before Reaves and the Lakers got their payback.
