Golden State Warriors started their first-round playoff series with two defeats, but they were on the brink of clinching a Semi-Finals berth after winning three games in a row. However, Sacramento Kings handed them a surprising defeat on Friday night and forced Game 7. During the game, Warriors youngster Jordan Poole was caught seemingly disrespecting his teammate Draymond Green. Even Stephen Curry looked surprised after witnessing this incident.

However, Curry acted like a true leader and made sure everything was alright. This whole incident drew reactions from a former New Jersey Nets forward and fans across the sports world.

The Golden State Warriors lost Game 6 of their first-round matchup against the Kings by a wide margin (99-118). They desperately wanted to close out the Sacramento Kings at the Chase Center but were unsuccessful in doing so. The Dubs delivered one of the worst performances of the season as no one except Curry and Klay Thompson dropped 20+ points. Andrew Wiggins scored 13 points, but the rest couldn’t even cross the double-figure mark. They were surely frustrated with their performances and Poole’s frustration was apparent.

Sideline Sources shared a video on their Instagram page that showcased the Warriors youngster ignoring Draymond Green. It starts by showing Poole and others approaching the bench after a timeout. As JP3?neared the bench, he met Green who tried to say something, but the 23-year-old moved Green’s arm away. It was certainly disrespectful and Curry, who witnessed this happening, looked into this matter.

As soon as this incident happened, the eight-time All-Star could be seen intervening and saying something to JP3, which continued for a couple of seconds. The Warriors’ talisman apparently put him in his place. This gesture of the 2022 Finals MVP displayed his leadership qualities. Though he might not be as imposing as Michael Jordan and LeBron James, Curry, indeed is a great leader, and his coach, Steve Kerr once revealed his leadership style.

A sea of fans commented on the aforementioned post and former Nets forward Aaron William’s comment was one of them. He wrote, I see he looked back just in case Draymond was coming! (laughing emojis).”
