Philadelphia 76ers legend, Charles Barkley once opened up about being in awe of Dennis the Menace’s stamina on the court despite living an extravagant lifestyle.

Charles Barkley was one of the finest players in the NBA from the mid-80s to the late-90s. Rodman too was donning the courts with teams like the Chicago Bulls, and the Detroit Pistons. Therefore, the Sixers legend had seen the Worm and his play very closely on the court.

In an interview, Barkley could be seen talking about the Worm in front of other notable personalities like Shaquille O’Neal, Kenny Smith, and Ernie Johnson. Amidst the discussions, Sir Charles stated that he “read in the newspaper that he [Rodman] was out every night all night”.

He probably wanted to refer to Rodman’s love for partying that kept him occupied off the court. Moreover, Chuck added, ‘Being out every night and still having the stamina that he had on the court, thats pretty remarkable’. Thereafter the Sixers legend added, “He killed that ‘you need a good night’s sleep’ theory”.?
Barkley implied that the Worm could break the simple rule of needing adequate sleep for a healthy lifestyle. Especially, as an NBA player. Therefore, Barkley could not help but be surprised at Dennis Rodman’s stamina on the court.
