In the latest episode of Gil’s Arena, former Washington Wizards player, and three-time All-Star Gilbert Arenas sat down with his co-hosts Steve Smith Jr. and Brandon Jennings for his usual NBA-related discussions. Smith Jr. asked him whether Butler was the most clutch player in the Miami Heat history. Arenas replied, “For an individual you have to say yes.”
After some time, the three-time All-Star said, “We said it before the series started. Jimmy’s gonna turn into something that – it’s because you don’t see it in the season. You played Jimmy – Jimmy’s 15,20,21 and in the playoffs he just really turns into a whole different player that they’re not actually used to. Everyone knows Jimmy gonna turn into a different player,?but they can’t measure it – because the player is not going to be in that stat book.”
The 41-year-old continued, “You got to pull Jimmy’s playoff record and use that as Jimmy’s stats. You can’t use Jimmy’s season as what Jimmy does. He just tortures everyone during the playoffs.”
The former Wizards player finished by saying the six-time All-Star could do anything to win a game: Assist his teammates even if he can’t drop a boatload of points.
What he said about Jimmy G. Buckets?is indeed true. Let’s take a look at how he performed in his last two games.
