No. 1 seeded Milwaukee Bucks were once considered a favorite to win the championship this season by many, but their season ended unexpectedly thanks to the six-time All-Star Jimmy Butler. On Wednesday, Butler and Miami Heat ended the Bucks’ season by handing them a defeat in Game 5 of the first round of playoffs. Recently, a report emerged online, detailing sadness swept the Bucks’ locker room even before Jimmy G. Buckets?ended their playoffs run.
The Bucks missed Giannis Antetokounmpo for two games due to injury. It’s quite understandable how hard it becomes for a team to compete in the absence of their cornerstone player. Despite missing The Greek Freak, they fought hard and even won one of those two games. However, they couldn’t compete further perhaps due to the terrible news that hit coach Mike Budenholder.

Prior to Game 6 between the Los Angeles Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies, coach Darvin Ham addressed the media. Michael Corvo, a noted journalist asked Ham about his thoughts on Antetokounmpo’s speech on being a failure. In the process of replying to his question, Ham also revealed the news surrounding Budenholder that was nothing but heartbreaking.
The Lakers coach said, “Yeah, I mean, you know, it sucks man, they lost. Just thinking of Coach also, who’s going through a lot on a personal level. He just lost a brother, so. My apologies, Bud… He and I have been texting. I love those guys. They’re part of my basketball family and on a personal level. Those guys were great to me. And Giannis being at the top of that list.”
Following this revelation, the 49-year-old proceeded to give his thoughts on The Greek Freak’s?speech.

Budenholder has had six siblings and one of his brothers passed away due to a car accident prior to Game 4 between the Bucks and Heat. The Bucks coach decided to keep the news private throughout the series. A Bucks spokesperson confirmed the news, but as of now, it’s unknown which of Budenholder’s brothers expired.

He must’ve had a hard time play calling after receiving such terrible news. The Bucks coach might have made a few mistakes, but one can’t deny that Butler was on another level in his last two games, which further solidified the Heat’s chances of winning the series.

Buttler ended the Bucks’ playoffs run with his out-of-the-world performance
Buttler was so good on those two nights that ex-NBA veteran Gilbert Arenas complimented him by saying he becomes a different player during the playoffs. The six-time All-Star, indeed, was on another level as he dropped 56 and 42 points in Game 4 and Game 5 respectively. Moreover, he grabbed nine and eight rebounds in the fourth and fifth game respectively. The 33-year-old, who was the best player on the court on those two nights helped his team clinch a semi-finals berth by winning the series 4-1.
Miami Heat are going to face the New York Knicks tomorrow in the first game of the Eastern Conference semifinals. They would surely look forward to picking up a win under the leadership of inform Jimmy Butler.
