Michael Jordan’s daughter shares her thoughts on her father’s legacy
In an interview with AP, Jasmine opened up about how it was to have a famous father. She revealed that when she was a kid, she actually had to google her dad because she could not understand the hype around the Chicago Bulls legend. She eventually got the hang of it as she grew older.
“He is this incredible phenom, and he’s the G.O.A.T., and everything along those lines. But he’s also human,” said Jasmine.

Furthermore, Jasmine told that MJ made sure she was tough enough to “bear the burden” that came with being Michael Jordan’s daughter. Nevertheless, MJ was protective of her and still called her “Princess” even after she grew up. She said that her dad was definitely competitive but he definitely knew when to turn off his competitive nature of his. Jasmine also gave her thoughts about her dad’s impact on society.
“He’s been super powerful, he’s been super successful, he’s been super vocal in his own right and his own way. And being a role model, which I don’t really think he ever expected to be. As long as everyone knows that he’s human at the end of the day and he is not a God and he makes mistakes just like everybody else then that’s his legacy.” said Jasmine.
