The Minnesota Timberwolves were easily outclassed in Game 2 of their first-round series against the Denver Nuggets. The Wolves just could not keep up with the talented Nuggets team. Moreover, a Timberwolves star had one of the worst games of his career as he was singled out for the disappointing defeat on Wednesday. NBA legend Charles Barkley didn’t hold back while assessing the Timberwolves star’s performance, a week after dismantling his teammate, Rudy Gobert, for his actions.

Charles Barkley had recently criticized and mocked 7?1 star Rudy Gobert over his altercation with his teammate, Kyle Anderson. Now that Barkley has seemingly moved on from Rudy Gobert, he decided to target the 7?1 center?s partner in crime.

Being a three-time All-Star and 2015 Rookie of the Year, a better performance was expected out of Towns. The 7ft center-forward majorly underperformed in both the first two games against the Denver Nuggets.

Charles Barkley gave his analysis of the Kentucky State product. He said, ?If you?re the second-best player on the team, you gotta play like it. Karl-Anthony Towns has more turnovers than made baskets. That?s not gonna get it done, 3 for 12. Rudy Gobert is not known as a scorer but he also had 19 tonight.??

Barkley continued, ?Karl-Anthony Towns should actually have an advantage, size-wise. See, he?s ruined his game in my opinion by just becoming a three-point shooter. If you?re as big as he is, you?re gonna have a size-height advantage every single night.”

Sir Charles backs up his criticism

Charles Barkley?s criticism often goes sideways, but this time he certainly did have a point. Being an 11-time All-Star and former MVP, Barkley does hold quite a lot of knowledge of the game of basketball.

As he criticized Towns, he backed it up by breaking down his game. Barkley went on to say, ?If you?re gonna stand out on the perimeter; two things. You don?t get to the foul line and you don?t use your height. So, it?s useless height. And that?s what bothers me about his game. He?s one of the few guys in the NBA who?s gonna have a height advantage every single night.?

?There?s no player he?s gonna play against where he?s gonna have a height disadvantage. But because he?s become a perimeter player, he don?t punish ?em when they go small. And he?s just standing out there shooting jumpers,? added Barkley.
