The Los Angeles Lakers’ latest signing recently sent shockwaves around the NBA world. The franchise signed back Dennis Schroder who left the team a while ago. Talking on The Big Podcast with Shaq, Shaquille O’Neal had a lot to say about Schroder.

The German signed to a $2.6 million deal with the Lakers in contrast to the $84 million he was initially offered. With millions around the world mocking Schroder for his blunder, Shaquille O’Neal chimed in too.
Shaq said, “So, first of all, $2.6(million) is $1.3(million). I’d seen him in Atlanta, he had Ferraris and Lamborghinis. So, he playing for free this year. That man had a camouflage Lamborghini the one time I saw him.”
Meanwhile, Schroder’s remarkable fall from grace has been lamented by many in the NBA world. As a veteran of the league, Shaq knows very well how the salary of an athlete works. Therefore, he was quick to point out how $2.6 million may not be as much money as it seems.
Despite all the ridicule, his recent performances have been quite good. He led Germany to the EuroBasket Semi-Finals before getting knocked out by Spain.
