Having a superstar dad means fans start expecting the same or even better from you. Seeing the legacy that Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James has created, there are certain expectations that his children will undoubtedly be expected to live up to. LeBron’s elder son, Bronny James has been garnering attention for the past few years and it is not just because he is King James’ son. Turns out, Bronny has developed quite the skills on the court that has sparked hope in fans that James Jr. will continue to carry on his dad’s legacy.

LeBron James and his wife Savannah welcomed their first son, Bronny in 2004. Bronny currently attends Sierra Canyon School and plays as a guard for his high school basketball team. Evidently, Bronny’s on-court skills didn’t go unnoticed as he started receiving several basketball scholarships from the young age of 10.

In August 2022, Bronny caught the attention of universities such as UCLA, Oregon, USC, Michigan, and Ohio State. Interestingly, LeBron James is a big fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes. LeBron and Bronny even recently attended the Buckeyes’ match against Notre Dame on Sept. 4.

During the match, the crowd started chanting, ‘We want Bronny’, indicating that fans wanted Bronny to join the Ohio State men’s basketball team. Furthermore, a video was uploaded of Bronny dunking during a game and fans are loving it.

Fans are comparing Bronny James’ on-court skills to dad LeBron James

A video was uploaded on Twitter that was taken at the basketball court of Sierra Canyon School. In the video, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar’s son Bronny James repeatedly showcased his dunking skills in Sierra Canyon’s first pre-season match against Liberty High School. Seems like James Jr. received some rather smashing tips from his father.

Undoubtedly, fans are pleasantly shocked and are complimenting Bronny’s skills. While some of them are even calling his dunks “crazy”, others are positive that he is going to be even better than LeBron James.

Bronny will turn 18 on October 6, 2020, and will graduate from school in 2023. It has not been announced yet as to where Bronny will be taking his talents for college. However, LeBron James has repeatedly expressed his desire to play with his son before he officially retires from the game.

“My last year will be played with my son. Wherever Bronny is at, that’s where I’ll be. I would do whatever it takes to play with my son for one year. It’s not about the money at that point,” said James to The Athletic.
