The Philadelphia 76ers lead the series against the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference semifinals. Much of that credit goes to James Harden and Tyrese Maxey as they played without Joel Embiid in Game 1. As Embiid reels back from a right knee sprain, he has now got more motivation to return to the court after being named the league MVP. Not only Embiid’s emotions were high after the announcement, but the NBA world got caught up in the moment as well as the 76ers shared a clip of the 29-year-old star.
Many fans and analysts have said that the 76ers big man has been snubbed for the Most Valuable Player award for the past two seasons. After Nikola Jokic was looking to make it three times in a row, Joel Embiid finally got his hands on the prize.

After getting overlooked for the award for the past two seasons, Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid has finally won the KIA MVP award. Embiid had the highest point production of his career yet this season.
The Process averaged 33.1 PPG, 10.2 RPG, and 1.7 BPG for the 2022-23 NBA season. Embiid even helped his team clinch the third seed in the Eastern Conference with a 54-28 overall season record.
The entire team sat together as NBA Commissioner Adam Silver made the announcement. And as soon as the commissioner announced Embiid?s name, the seven-foot center could not hold back his emotions.
While his whole team celebrated and chanted MVP, Embiid could be seen shedding a few tears of joy. The five-time All-Star finally got the big award after finishing 2nd for two consecutive years to Jokic.

So, it must?ve been a relief for Embiid to finally get the credit and recognition he had worked so hard for.
