While the Lakers recorded another win 121-115, they were compelled to deal with another player’s health woes. The team was already grappling with Anthony Davis’ unavailability and therefore, absence. Now, it looks like LeBron James and his team just can’t catch a break.

Russell Westbrook had to exit early from the game tonight, due to a foot injury. He has been reportedly dealing with it for quite some time now.

Lakers star creates more worrying news

According to Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet, “Russell Westbrook is out for the rest of the game due to left foot soreness. He missed two games (12/19 and 12/21) with that.” NBA fans have reacted to the news. One fan wrote, “He can sit for the rest of the season“. Others agreed this may be a good thing for Westbrook.

Trying to find their feet without Anthony Davis

Head coach to the Lakers, Darvin Ham spoke about Anthony Davis‘ absence, after they recorded their fourth straight loss, against the Dallas Mavericks, without their superstar. Ham said, “Hell yeah, it’s a big hole in our lineup“. LeBron James also chimed in and addressed that it has been “very challenging” for the team to compensate for AD’s absence.

LeBron said, “Reality is, without AD, we lose a lot of length which we don’t have already“.

Davis has been ruled out for several weeks owing to a right foot injury. Unfortunately, it is another setback in his long list of injury-prone history already. For the Lakers, they may be sorely missing Anthony Davis’ averages of 27.4 points and 12.1 rebounds.
