Other than criminal trespass, the teenager was also charged with 2 counts of criminal damage to the property. Police officials were alerted after Jordan’s neighbors suspected some unusual activity inside the property premises. No other harm was inflicted since MJ and his family do not live on that property anymore.

Although, the property has been on the market for over 13 years now, Jordan has been looking for potential buyers and is yet to make a final deal. The luxury mansion is personalized as per the NBA legend’s taste and its valuation has taken a hit of about $14 million over the years, with the asking price of the property depreciating significantly with time. In 2012, the listed price was $29 million, which has now been reduced to a little under $15 million.

The lavish mansion was also used for the video shoot of the song ‘Franchise’ by rapper Travis Scott. With all the history attached to it, the property is waiting to meet its new owners. However, interest among buyers has rekindled after the Netflix documentary The Last Dance was released back in 2020.

Michael Jordan is also known for his smart business acumen. However, he is finding it difficult to sell one of his most expensive properties. The reason for a lack of interested buyers has been ascribed to heavy pricing compared to other houses in the area and the several customizations MJ had made in the mansion. The 60-year-old had offered an impressive collection of Air Jordan sneakers to lure in buyers with little to no effect.
