Quetta suffered a severe spinal cord injury in 2021 during a game. The hockey player crashed head-first into the boards and the scary crash changed his life. Quetta played for the Bishop Feehan Highschool Varsity Hockey team. After going through the severe injury, he went into rehab and recovered. After achieving significant growth, Quetta joined the Shamrocks as an assistant coach in late 2021. Recently the hockey star announced that he has become good friends with one of the NBA’s finest young talents. The two motivate and inspire each other and Quetta feels over the moon about his friendship with Tatum.
He recently talked about the 2023 NBA All-Star MVP. “Sick game the other night. I’m rooting for you mad,” Quetta told Tatum after his monumental performance. Tatum told his friend to “keep believing” and “keep pushing”, as he continues to make great progress in his recovery. The Celtics star also had some deep and spiritual advice for the young hockey star. He told Quetta that he should continue to believe as believing is the most important step toward progress. Tatum even compared it to his quests on the hardwood. He said that believing is what gets him through all the battles on the court.
