It has been a decade of long-awaited success for the Golden State Warriors star. 4 Championships, 2 MVPs, 1 Finals MVP, leader of the All-Time 3-pointers made in the NBA, and the ability to boast an 8-time All-Star. Stephen Curry, at 34 years of age, is still in his prime, averaging 29.3 points and 6.3 assists in his 14th season. Nothing has stopped the 6’2 guard from running riot.

In addition, Curry might add another achievement to his name by representing his country in the Olympics 2024. Curry has never participated in the Olympics for the USA team for various reasons. The Warriors star in a recent interview with reporter Marc Stein gave an open talk on the chances of him joining the US national team.

The United States stands as the defending champs of the Olympics Gold Medal. The USA defeated France in their finals match in Tokyo in 2020. Moreover, the USA has won the gold medal in 4 previous Olympic games. With the possibility of Curry joining the team, the USA might continue their streak.

American Reporter Marc Stein asked Steph about his interest in joining the USA team for the 2024 Olympics. Curry said, “I?m more than excited about the opportunity to do it?.

He added “They all say it?s not even close in terms of the vibe and the atmosphere and the buildup and the adrenaline and all that. I don?t know what the chances are, because you don?t know what?s going to happen, but I would love to have that experience at some point for sure.”

With Steve Kerr announced as the Head Coach of the Men’s Olympics team, the chances of Curry playing in the Olympics are highly possible. Curry also mentioned, “I played on those two world championship teams and everybody who?s ever experienced both is never shy to mention how much different the Olympics is.

Stephen Curry’s performance in International tournaments

This is not the first time Curry will be taking part in an International tournament. Previously, Curry was a part of both the 2010 and 2014 FIBA World Cup. Curry and team USA won both World Cup titles. Team USA defeated Turkey, 84-61 in 2010, and Serbia 129-92 in 2014 to bag the titles.
