Shaquille O’Neal had recently visited Australia for various programs. Post his trip, he returned to his podcast, ‘The Big Podcast, to talk about his trip. There, he shared his experience of the warm welcome he received from fans in Australia.

He humorously compared his greetings by the fans to the treatment that Michael Jackson used to receive when he would travel anywhere. Being a people’s entertainer, people loved Michael Jackson and he was greeted joyfully by fans around the globe. Shaq said that “It’s humbling“. Similarly, upon his visit to Australia, Shaq was greeted joyfully. This comparison was a bit of a coincidence as well because Michael Jackson’s birthday falls on the 29th of august, a day before the podcast was shot. This was rightfully noticed and brought to light by co-host Nischelle Turner on the podcast.

In addition, he mentioned a meet and greet event for his fans, which was attended by more than 15,000 people. And since it was in a foreign country, it just felt surreal to the Los Angeles Lakers legend. He felt humbled while talking about it and remembered his days of being in the projects to now being known worldwide.
