The first round of the Playoffs got underway with an intense battle between the Golden State Warriors and the Sacramento Kings. The Stephen Curry-led Warriors lost a closely-fought battle against the Sacramento Kings, tipping the momentum in favor of the third-seeded Kings team. However, teammate Klay Thompson was nothing but impressed with Andrew Wiggins? performance after missing out on so much time off the court.

The Warriors lost by a three-point deficit with a final score of 123-126. But the team played the best they could, losing due to a heartbreaking missed buzzer-beater at the end of regulation.

The rest of the squad chimed in as much as they could, as Klay Thompson was the second-highest scorer of the night with a 21-point performance. Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole scored 17 points a piece in the first three quarters but were eventually shut down by the Sacramento defense, going scoreless in the fourth.

During the post-game press conference, Klay Thompson was asked how he felt about Wiggins? performance. He said, ?I?m so proud of Wiggs. Three months of NBA basketball and doing what he did tonight is so impressive.”

“I mean he hardly breaks a sweat and I?ll take that look at the end of the game any day of the week. I mean, he?s a clutch two-way player and I?m just so grateful he?s back in the mix,” added Thompson.

Is Stephen Curry to blame for the Warriors’ loss?

Many would argue that the Warriors lost the game due to an ill-advised last-second shot by Stephen Curry. But during Thompson?s post-game press conference, he referred to an open three-point shot that Andrew Wiggins missed.

If Wiggins had made that shot, the Warriors would?ve had the lead and would probably come out on top at the end of regulation. However, due to Wiggins? missed go-ahead shot, Curry had to chuck a low-percentage three in the end, going for a three-point floater instead of a jumper.
