The Basketball Hall of Fame class of 2023 announced

3x NBA champion Dwyane Wade, 2x NBA champion Pau Gasol and 2011 NBA champion Dirk Nowitzki are among the new inductees nominated for the Hall of Fame, class of 2023. Wade won his championships with the Miami Heat, Gasol with the Los Angeles Lakers, and Nowitzki with the Dallas Mavericks. The full list includes Tony Parker, Becky Hammon, and Gregg Popovich as well.

46-year-old Becky Hammon, a WNBA icon and a 6x WNBA All-Star, is also on the list. She is now the coach of the Las Vegas Aces. Tony Parker, another noted nominee, is a 4x NBA champion with the San Antonio Spurs.

Apart from these notable players, Gregg Popovich will also be honored with his Hall of Fame induction. Popovich is a highly decorated coach in the NBA. He has won 5 NBA championships as a coach and has been awarded the NBA Coach of the Year award thrice in his career. These legends of the game will be honored for their immense contributions in August. Ceremonies will be held on August 11th and 12th in Connecticut and Massachusetts.

Notably, Pau Gasol was recently honored by the Los Angeles Lakers as the Lakers retired his jersey during a massive ceremony.
