The heated rivalry between NBA greats Isiah Tomas and Michael Jordan seemingly continues even to this day, decades after their retirement. Their on-court rivalry is well known, but once, in front of millions of people, Jordan called Thomas an a*****e. And after that, Thomas demanded an apology from Jordan. Furthermore, NBA fans don’t seem so convinced with Thomas’ appeal and did what the internet community does best, and slammed Thomas for his statement.

‘The Last Dance‘, a 10-episode documentary, presented Michael Jordan’s glory as part of the Chicago Bulls. The series covers the historic 1990s era that was dominated by the Bulls and Jordan. In one of the episodes, Jordan called Thomas an a*****e. Furthermore, Thomas spoke about the remarks in an interview.

“When I was watching?The Last Dance, I’m sitting there and I’m watching it with my family and I’m thinking everything is good, and then this guy comes on television and he says that he hates me and then he calls me an a*****e.”

Isiah Thomas sends a message to Michael Jordan

Apart from their on-court beef,?’The Last Dance’?took things to a whole new level. Thomas added, “Until I get a public apology, this beef is gonna go on for a long long time, cause I?m from the west side of Chicago.??

After Thomas made his statement, the NBA world on Twitter was not convinced and went on to share their views. NBA Central tweeted about the statement. And currently, the tweet has more than 16,000 likes and 1,400 retweets full of different opinions. One of the fans said, “Guess it’s to the grave then.”?

Michael Jordan once stated that he hates Thomas. One main reason was that Thomas and the mighty Detroit Pistons?had prevented the Chicago Bulls from reaching the NBA Finals in the 1980s. In the three Eastern Conference Finals between 1989-1991, Thomas and Jordan came face to face each time. Out of which, Thomas won twice.
