Similarly, a former NBA champion recently announced a massive donation of $1 million for a great cause. Many underprivileged sections of the country have benefited from the contributions of NBA stars. The players provide aid in the form of meals, education, sporting facilities, health care, and so on. The Washington Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma recently announced the $1 million donation to the place where he began his basketball journey.

In a recent episode of ‘Good Morning America’, Kyle Kuzma surprised everyone with his gesture to donate $1 million to the YMCA in Flint, Michigan. According to the reports, the Kyle Kuzma Foundation will donate the money for a gymnasium facility at the YMCA. The Wizards star said, “I’m extremely excited to give you guys this opportunity, I know for me the YMCA has been an extremely big part of my life.” He further added, “I never really had amazing resources and for you guys, I want to make sure you guys have that and the younger generation in Flint so thank you YMCA.”

Later, Kuzma took to his Twitter to share the news with his fans. Following the tweet, the fans swarmed to the comment section with praise. One user said, “groundbreaking for real. Major.

76ers’ Tyrese Maxey recognized for his charity

The league has had a tradition of recognizing the charitable work of NBA stars toward society through their NBA Cares Community Assist Award every month. In December of 2022, Philadelphia 76ers star Tyrese Maxey won the award for his efforts to help the underprivileged during Thanksgiving. Moreover, the league donated $10,000 to the Tyrese Maxey Foundation.
