The Dallas Mavericks shook the NBA world with their blockbuster Kyrie Irving trade ahead of the Thursday deadline. The Mavericks star Luka Doncic shouldered the team with his dominant performances throughout the season. The Slovenian star dropped 1,569 points leading the Mavs’ offense singlehandedly. Moreover, Irving’s addition to the side has further strengthened the scoring front. However, the team doesn’t seem to hold back, as a recent trade update revealed the possible inclusion of an NBA veteran. Following the update, fans took to Twitter and flooded in with various opinions.

The Mavericks are currently the 4th seed in the Western Conference with an impressive 31-26 record. It’s safe to say that the Mavs’ offense heavily relied on Doncic as the star generated consistent high-scoring games, including four 50+ scores before February. Adrian Wojnarowski, a veteran NBA Insider, recently broke the Mav’s new trade update.

The Orlando Magic sharpshooter, Terrence Ross has been on the trade block for over a year. Moreover, Magic and Ross looked for a buyout, and the star would turn into a free agent after that. However, the Mavericks are likely to solve the puzzle for the Orlando side. Wojnarowski took to his Twitter and said, “The Dallas Mavericks have emerged as the frontrunner to sign Terrence Ross once his buyout is complete, sources tell ESPN.” The veteran star has been part of the Magic side for the last six seasons. He has built a reputation for his offensive skills as he has a steady field goal percentage of 41.8%. Ross’ addition to the Irving and Doncic-led offense would be a morale booster in the camp.
