Shaquille O’Neal is always up to something or the other during his free time. Whether it be making appearances at various events or just messing around with people on social media every now and then, the 4x NBA champion doesn’t like to sit idle. Recently, The Big Aristotle gave the entire world a throwback video of him with his son and fans just cannot seem to get over it.

Shaquille O’Neal has been in the news after he managed to slide into the DM’s of a ‘home depot’ girl. Well, that may be what Shaq has been up to lately, but this two-year-old video is something no one should miss out on.

During his time in the NBA, O’Neal often hung out with rappers and was clearly fond of hip-hop music. He even released four studio albums in the 90s. Even though Shaq went on to become DJ Diesel after his retirement, his journey in the music industry started with rap.

A video uploaded on Instagram by the Los Angeles Lakers legend goes on to prove his love for hip-hop never faded. In the video, Shaq can be seen freestyling with his eldest son, Shareef O’Neal. Shaq captioned the video, “Me and @shareefoneal messing around two years ago.” Shaq gave a shout-out to another rapper based out of New York named Fat Joe. He even gave shout-outs to Charisse Mills, Akon, and the hip-hop group, Three 6 Mafia.

 

As the video started, both Shaq and his son Shareef were referred to as the O’Neal Boyz. And the title of the video was Twinz Freestyle. The music and the flow were impeccable, with a perfect balance between the father-son duo. Shaq’s caption further mentioned, “me and my son been bumping that record ever since he was a baby.” Fans were certainly caused by surprise and they gave their two cents on the video.

The song became an instant hit among fans on social media as many praised both Shaq and his son Shareef in the comments section. One fan commented, “I think it’s time for @Shaq to go for the #EGOT. A Grammy is totally within reach. Maybe a musical about his life for the Tony Award.”
