The eyes of the NBA world have been firmly locked in on the ongoing Playoffs. With the postseason getting underway in dramatic fashion, fans have rarely had a chance to think about what comes next. However, one thing fans, analysts, and even NBA players have a lock on is who will go as the number one pick in the upcoming draft. Yet, the G League star, Scoot Henderson, is convinced things may sway his way, leading fans to give him a brutal reality check.
French national Victor Wembanyama has been the name at the tip of everyone’s tongue for the number one pick in the 2023 NBA draft. Wembanyama seems to be a freak of nature, given his physique and skills on the court. So Scoot’s claim hasn’t gone down well with the NBA world.

The majority of fans, analysts, and players from the NBA are convinced that Wembanyama is a unicorn; a player who comes once in a generation. Even Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James had nothing but praise for the 7’3 sensation.
So, there is no speculation in the fact that he will be the preferred choice of any team who gets the number one pick in the upcoming NBA draft. However, G League Ignite star Scoot Henderson begs to differ.

In a recent interview with GQ Sports, Scoot revealed that he believed he should be the number one pick in the draft. Henderson was informed that he will either be the second or third-draft pick after Wembanyama and University of Alabama star, Brandon Miller.
To that, Henderson said, “Yeah, I think I should go one. I know I’m gonna go one.” When asked if it’s really that important to go as the number one overall pick, Henderson firmly stated, “Yes. Of course. Who doesn’t want to go one?”
