In Game 4 of the first-round playoff series between the Los Angeles Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies, LeBron James once again put on an incredible display. King James’ game-tying basket with just 0.8 seconds left in regulation time forced overtime. The Lakers won 117-111 in overtime thanks to his four critical points, giving them a commanding 3-1 series lead. In the midst of their remarkable victory, LeBron James also achieved a new record, one that he too found surprising.
LeBron, however, wasn’t the only Lakers player to stand out in this exciting game. Austin Reaves demonstrated his ability to perform under duress by scoring a career-high 23 points. Despite having trouble scoring, Anthony Davis also delivered five significant points in overtime to help the Lakers secure the victory.

The Lakers also faced some difficulties during the game. With only five minutes remaining in regulation, they were down by seven points. However, the Los Angeles side swiftly gained momentum thanks to a surge that was sparked by D’Angelo Russell’s three straight 3-pointers. From that point on, they never fell behind in the extra period, displaying their tenacity and will to win.
On the other side, the Grizzlies battled valiantly, led by Desmond Bane’s remarkable 36 points and tie-breaking layup in the final seconds of regulation to give his team a chance to win. The Lakers’ defense, inspired by Anthony Davis’ important block of Ja Morant’s jump shot at the end of regulation, proved to be too much for the Grizzlies to overcome.
