The NBA off-season became a ride from hell for the Brooklyn Nets. However, that wasn’t always the case. At the beginning of the season, the franchise ranked as one of the favorites to win it all. With three MVP-caliber players on their roster, Brooklyn seemed secured. But what followed was arguably a mediocre season. And Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving could only make it as far as the first round of the playoffs, where they met the Boston Celtics.
Despite losing James Harden and Irving’s absence, Durant was able to power Brooklyn into a play-in berth. And that’s where the dominance of KAI and KD was on display.
