Since that incident, Green has faced a lot of flak from across the world. However, his teammate Klay Thompson has been very supportive. Recently, he was on Inside the NBA on opening night and he had a lot to say.

Klay said, “Dray had to get our trust back and he was very willing to do so. I mean, without Draymond we are not the Warriors and without JP we’re not the Warriors. Like, JP’s our future, and Draymond is a legend, he’s gonna have a statue outside one day.”

Being two of the most experienced players on the team, Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry had the daunting task of restoring normalcy within the team. It seems the Warriors are back on track as they beat the Los Angeles Lakers on opening night to kickstart their title defense during the 2022-23 season.
