The Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James recently left the sporting world in awe after achieving a monumental feat in NBA. Sporting legends and celebrities across the country poured in praise for the Akron Hammer for surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s all-time scoring record. James broke Abdul Jabbar’s 38-year-old record last week during the game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Recently, the golf legend Tiger Woods joined the bandwagon to commend King James on his massive feat. 

47-year-old legend reigned the golf sport with more than 100 worldwide wins and 15 major trophies in his close to three-decade-long career. The Billionaire golfer attained global popularity with his longevity and precision in the golfing world. Moreover, Woods grew up watching the Lakers games and its legend Abdul-Jabbar in his childhood.

Tiger Woods praises LeBron James 

Tiger Woods recently made his comments on LeBron James’ scoring record while addressing the press ahead of Genesis Open. Woods said, “What he [LeBron James] accomplished is absolutely incredible because of the durability, the consistency, and the longevity.” Mr. T further went on to talk about Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. He added, “I grew up watching Kareem…he was the ‘Cap.’ That’s all I remember, the Showtime Lakers and watching Cap run down there with the goggles and the skyhook.”

He further went on to appreciate King James for his ability to play all five positions on the court and his longevity. While appreciating his versatility, he said, “That’s never been done before at that level for this long.”

Woods compares James’ feat with his achievements

During the press meet, a reporter asked Woods to draw a comparison between James’ achievements with golf. Though the reporter’s question made the legend uncomfortable, he replied to him with a giggle highlighting his all-time PGA tour wins. He said, “As far as our equivalent to that, maybe you look at me and Sam [Snead] at 82…It takes a career to get to those numbers.” Woods is all set to return after his last PGA tour appearance in July 2022. Moreover, the legend has the opportunity to lead the all-time tour wins surpassing Sam Snead in the upcoming Genesis open.
