While Stephen Curry dominates the game of basketball, one face in the crowd cheers the loudest. Notably, his dad Dell Curry, also a former NBA player, is arguably his biggest supporter. Watching his son grow into the biggest revolutionary on the planet, Dell Curry has been there in all of his biggest moments. However, when the Golden State Warriors go up against the Charlotte Hornets tonight, he will be in two minds. Last season after Michael Jordan’s side got the better of his son, All-Star guard LaMelo Ball had a hilarious gesture in helping soften the blow.
Similar to his son, Dell Curry was a master marksman from beyond the arc. A career 40% shooter, he had his best years as a part of the Charlotte Hornets. Notably, the 58-year-old spent 10 years of his career with the franchise. Remaining loyal to his organization, Dell Curry is now the broadcaster for the Hornets. Likewise, last season, his team snapped the Warriors’ seven-game winning streak.

This prompted the media to ask Hornets’ young face LaMelo Ball about dinner plans with Dell. And his hilarious response had everyone in laughs.
LaMelo Ball will help to soften the blow of Warriors’ loss only if it’s free
Ball was instrumental in the Charlotte Hornets defeating the champions last season. The Golden State Warriors were hot as fire looking to extend their winning streak. A point guard showdown was next, a battle between Ball and Stephen Curry. On a day the three-point king of the NBA struggled, the 21-year-old shined bright. His 21 points, 7 rebounds, five assists, and three steals helped decimate the Warriors.

After the game, NBA reporter Jared Greenberg was in the mood to have some fun. With the hero of the moment with him, he asked Ball if Dell Curry pays for dinner after beating his elder son, Stephen Curry. Ball replied, “That?s a great question. I?d like to talk to Dell for sure, Eat some dinner with him. I?m always up for it if somebody pays, you feel me? I?ll be there. You feel me? If it?s free, it?s me.??
Now, the Baby Face Assassin has the chance to get even with the Hornets. However, it might not be as fun as LaMelo Ball continues to heal from his injury. Hours before the game, the Hornets still listed him to be out for the big encounter against the defending champions. Ball’s pre-season injury continues to keep him from making his regular-season debut. And it seems it will have to wait even further.
