Stephen Curry and Ayesha Curry are among the most popular couples in the NBA. They have been married for more than a decade and have known one another for almost 20 years.

The couple has never been exposed to any controversy and has always maintained a positive image. They have three children together: two daughters, Riley and Ryan, and a son, Canon. Be it Steph’s NBA games or Ayesha’s business initiatives, this family is always together.

On The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, Stephen revealed that Ayesha was the candy plug when he saw her for the very first time. He explained how they started dating and what did Ayesha’s family think when they first saw Steph.

When the couple was asked about their first impressions of each other in the interview, they had an interesting response. As Ayesha mentioned, her family thought Steph looked like her brother. At the time, she was fourteen years old.

In response, Stephen stated that they were both shy when they first met each other. Neither one of them knew how to approach the other. However, Stephen knew she was Canadian (an information that helped him strike some correlation). Continuing, Stephen said:

“I mean, I knew she was beautiful. We were both shy, so we didn’t know really how to, you know talk to each other and approach each other. But I also knew she was from Canada and my dad played for the Raptors for a little bit when I lived up there I loved Canadian candy. So she was the candy plug for a long time before we even started. Just bring back candy from Canada and we’ll get off a good start.”
