Russell Westbrook is a 13-year veteran in the NBA. He is one of the best guards in his prime and, moreover, one of the most effective ones. Russ West is one of the greats by all means.

However, this season he has not been close to the quality he possesses by any means. All the criticism has actually been the harsh truth that Russ has been severely underperforming. Though all this was put to hold when he showed his class once again.

On Friday night, the Raptors hosted the Lakers. The game was in the Raptors’ favor by 116-113. Brodie snatched the ball from Scottie Barnes to steal possession and drove forward. He took a shot from beyond the 3-pt line and drained the three-pointer in the last second to force overtime.

Westbrook has been getting the amount of criticism because of the quality he has shown over the years and fans were delighted to see that class back on the court.

His movement, athleticism, and speed in the dying seconds gave us a throwback of what kind of player he was in his prime. He might be past his prime and out of form, but he can still produce moments of pure class.

A confident Westbrook doesn’t disappoint on the court, just as he never disappoints in the post-match interviews.

The reporter asked how Russ maintains the belief to keep trying shots, even though he has been missing the mark a lot. Russell Westbrook hit him with an easy 7-word answer. “I got 23,000 points. How about that?” The fans obviously loved it!

Russ West has over 23,000 points and he oozes class. The player with the most triple-doubles in history is not an ordinary player. His career has been sparkling. Even without an NBA championship, he is a part of the NBA 75th Anniversary team. A player like that can not be down for long.

Against the Raptors, Russ had 22 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. A pretty good game considering the criticism he has been a subject to because of the form he has been in. That equalizer to send the game to OT and the Lakers eventually emerging victorious 128-123 was just what they desperately needed.
