The Golden State Warriors‘ season has been a mixed bag so far. While they sit 9th in the West, they’re just 0.5 games behind the 6th seed and the automatic Playoffs spot. However, the Warriors have been boosted by the return of Stephen Curry. As the defending champions gear up to face the Cleveland Cavaliers, the latest update on the 2x MVP hasn’t pleased NBA fans.
The Warriors are coming off a tough OT loss against the Boston Celtics. Ahead of their second game in as many nights, they have decided to take a major decision on Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Andrew Wiggins. The Warriors will be sitting all four of them against the Cavs. This decision hasn’t gone down well with fans as it’s the only time Golden State will be visiting Cleveland this season.
This is the final game of a 5 game road trip for the Warriors. While they lost against the Celtics and the Chicago Bulls, they were victorious in San Antonio and Washington. With the stars sitting out, it will be a chance for the other players to finish this road trip on a positive note.

Fans want the money refunded
The fans clearly let their feelings known on social media and many demanded refunds. Their disappointment is understandable as Stephen Curry is one of the biggest stars in the NBA right now. Here are some of the reactions on Twitter:
Give the public a refund on those tickets in Cleveland

This is a travesty! Why are we justifying it by saying they went into OT last night when thousands of people worked OT to afford their tickets?!

They really think they’re just gonna coast to the playoffs and turn up after playing bad basketball all year lol every time they’ve won they took the regular season serious

time to accept it, this isn’t a championship team. pic.twitter.com/BRdsUe8teH

Wasting, POSSIBLY, the last season of Dray, klay, and Steph together. Hopefully they all stay and get another championship together but idk if that’ll happen

Do they know they have to win games to get into the playoffs?

Basketball ratings must be in the mud. Lol the league is a joke and just gets worse and worse every year.

Meanwhile, the Cavs fans will be glad about this news as they are on a 15-game losing streak against the Warriors. Cleveland’s last win came all the way back in the 2017 NBA Finals.
With Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland leading them to the 5th place in the East, they’ll be favoring their chances against the defending champions.
