Over the past few years, celebrities have made a name for themselves in the NBA circuit because of their basketball skills. Names like Kevin Hart, Justin Beiber, Quavo, and more have made a name for themselves at the All-Star Celebrity game which takes place every year during the All-Star weekend.

One of the celebs who has impressed NBA fans and players likewise is rapper J Cole. He is a Grammy award-winning artist who is considered one of the most influential rappers of his generation. Cole currently plays for Scarborough Shooting Stars in the Canadian Elite Basketball League. Above all, he is a massive fan of the game.

All-Star Weekend involvement

J Cole played for the Eastern team during the NBA All-Star Weekend Celebrity game in 2012. His team won 86-54. Cole has name-dropped many NBA stars in his songs, including his close friend Dennis Smith Jr. The former Dallas Mavericks and New York Knicks player even took some help from his friend, Cole during the Slam Dunk Contest in 2019.

Many NBA stars are fans of Cole’s music and some of them even appreciate his hooping skills, including All-Star Devin Booker, who recently tweeted his appreciation for the rap artist.

Booker tweeted, “I’m here today to give ups to Jcole..I appreciate how u go bout everything“. It was a great moment for fans of both Booker and Cole as both of them are superstars in their industries. Booker’s tweet got fans going crazy asking teams to give Cole a tryout.

The Phoenix Suns star’s tweet went viral and had fans excited about a possible collaboration. As a result, various reactions started coming in and a few of them were hilarious as well.

Cole is already a massive star in the music industry, maybe it’s time he tests his basketball skills in the NBA.
